Petition seeking revocation of capital punishment law and its conversion into life imprisonment was filed in Supreme Court, Lahore registry on Monday.The petition was filed by barrister Zafar Ullah Khan. The petitioner took the plea that death sentence had been abolished in 90 countries of the world, therefore, the law to this effect be nullified and the sentence be changed into life imprisonment.
