Supreme Court (SC) Monday sought from PEMRA clear definition of obscenity in terms of TV channels transmission within two weeks.A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took up the petitions filed by Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Justice (Retd) Wajihuddin and others for hearing.The court directed PEMRA that definition of obscenity on media be determined within two weeks and presented before it.The SC also took notice of appointment of acting chairman since long against the post of chairman in PEMRA and directed information secretary to give explanation on this matter within two weeks.
