Summary NA Speaker Fehmida Mirza has rejected the possibility of becoming caretaker prime minister.
She is ready to play the role of a mediator in order to lessen tension between the government and Opposition, said National Assembly Speaker.She said this on the eve of inaugural ceremony of Parliamentary Reporters Association’s office.Replying a query regarding next caretaker prime minister, she said that she would prefer to contest elections rather than becoming a caretaker one.She said that the Opposition’s reservations regarding commission for new provinces may be reviewed.The Speaker said that 18th, 19th and 20th Amendments of the constitutions are the greatest achievements of the parliament.Throwing light on Pak-India relations, she said that she also had played an ideal role in bringing the relations between two countries on track.
