Supreme Court has taken into consideration non-implementation of its orders in Rental Power Case and issued contempt of court notices to the concerned officers of National Accountability Bureau.A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary Friday held hearing of the Rental Power case.Deputy Prosecutor General NAB, Fauzi Kazmi requested the court for holding in-camera hearing of the case in order to disclose important details. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary rejected the demand of Fauzi Kazmi. He remarked that only cases relating to national security are heard in closed doors. The Chief Justice also insisted on keeping the proceedings of the case transparent.The CJP said that if any of the accused involved in the Rental Power case flees away, Chairman NAB, Admiral (r) Faseeh Bukhari and all the supervisors will be held responsible.Afterwards, the Supreme Court ordered to issue show cause notices of contempt of court to all the NAB officers who investigated the case from March 30 to the present day. The notices have been issued to Colonel (Retd.) Shahzad, Kamran Qaiser, Raza Khan, in addition to all supervisors and investigation-officers. The apex court asked them all to submit the reply within seven days.The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 25.
