Summary National Assembly Thursday adopted condemnation resolution against screening of a blasphemous film.

The resolution said the film screened from US on Internet was a conspiracy to fan confrontation among different faiths. Sentiments of over one and a half billion Muslims were hurt through display of this film, the resolution said.Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said the protest voiced against release of controversial film against Islam was justified. The followers of other faiths should also care for sanctity and dignity of Islam, he stressed.He told the house foreign office had recorded its protest against this controversial film. He urged US to keep anti Islam elements under control otherwise protest would occur.Law Minister Farooq H Naik presented the resolution saying this house condemns strongly this controversial film released through internet. This film has hurt the sentiments of the Muslims and it would fan hatred among the followers of different faiths.
