President Asif Ali Zardari will address the General Assembly session today in New York. Earlier, President Zardari said, Pakistan confronts a challenge in shape of the problems which are generated owing to terrorism. He was addressing the presidential session of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan in New York. The session was jointly presided over by President Zardari and British PM Gordon Brown. In his opening address, US President Barack Obama said that Pakistan would be given an aid of $1.5 billion annually for next five years. President Zardari in his address maintained that Pakistan was doing serious efforts to eliminate terrorism and these efforts have been acknowledged by the entire world. British Premier praised the role of Pak Army in war against terrorism. The UK will provide 50 million pounds for the development in FATA, Brown assured.
