Summary The Lahore High Court has suspended the notification of LESCO chiefs appointment.
LESCO former chief Shrafat Sial filed a petition in the LHC challenging the appointment of new LESCO chief. The petitioner said that board of governor only competent authority to appoint new chief of the company. But Water and Power Ministry had appointed the new chief. He requested the court to declare the order null and void.The court accepted the petition and suspended LESCO chief’s appointment notification. The court also sought reply from the Ministry of Water and Power regarding the appointment.
