PM Gilani underlined the need for settlement of Kashmir issue, saying it is necessary for lasting peace in the region. He said that Kashmir and water issues would be discussed during the talks with India. The prime minister said that President Asif Ali Zardari would discuss issues, including Swat operation and subsequent rehabilitation of the area, during talks with US President Barack Obama and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown at the Friends of Democratic Pakistan (FoDP) meeting.
