Summary PPP and MQM have agreed on new LG system and ordinance in this regard is expected in next few hours.
According to Dunya News, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon has said that Pakistan People’s Party and Mutahida Qaumi Movement have reached a consensus on new Local Government system in Sindh.The new ordinance would be called as People’s Metropolitan Corporation Ordinance 2012.The ordinance is likely to be issued within next few hour as of Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan signs it.The meeting between Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement at the Governor’s House was underway for last fourdays after which the coalition partners reached on new Local Government system in Sindh.
