Summary President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Teheran Thursday to attend Non-Aligned Movement Summit.
Zardari in his address to the Summit will share Pakistan’s stance on key global issues including the evolving situation in Syria‚ Palestine‚ Afghanistan and other countries.Iranian Interior Minister Mustafa Muhammad Najjar welcomed President Asif Ali Zardari at Mehrabad Airport. The president in a brief meeting at the airport appreciated the Iranian leadership for successful hosting of the summit.Zardari will hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit. He is expected to meet with Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He would also hold substantial talks with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Supreme Leader Sayyid Ali Khamenei and discuss a range of bilateral issues.During the summit the president would reiterate Pakistans eight point action programme for revitalizing the Non Aligned Movement to effectively address the new and emerging global challenges in the areas of peace‚ security and development in the 21st century.The President was accompanied by Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Chairman Pakistan People Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
