30 killed in Muzaffarabad bus accident

At least 30 people were killed and more than 40 injured on Thursday as a passenger bus plunged into ravine at Submehri area of Muzaffabad. Bus was going to Mehmara Paprosa, an area 15 kilometers away from Muzaffarabad. The bus fell into the deep canyon due to its high speed. Passengers were going home to celebrate Eid. Bus was full of passengers. Five injured belonged to the same family. Relief activities were kicked off after the incident. The injured were shifted to M H Muzaffarabad. However, police sources did not confirm the actual death toll. Sources told Dunya News that dead bodies were still not transferred to the hospital and further casualties were expected. Rescue teams were not reached the spot, sources revealed.
