Karachi police nab 5 murder, extortion suspects

Summary Karachi police have arrested five suspects allegedly involved in serious crimes.

Police Saturday claimed to have apprehended five persons allegedly involved in serious crimes, including murder of security personnel and money extortion.According to the police, one suspect was caught red-handed while extorting Rs5 million.Police conducted raids in different areas of the city and nabbed Muhammad Yousuf alias Lahoti, Shahid, Tahir Mahmood, Shehzad Khaskheli and Abdul Rehman Baloch, SSP Khurram Waris told at a press conference.He said the suspects are involved in countless robberies and and other crimes in the old city area.Four Kalashnikovs, two TT pistols, one 9MM pistol, hand grenade and dozens of bullets were recovered from their possession, Waris added.Meanwhile, police have also issued photos of 10 most wanted extortionists who have turned the lives of traders and businessmen restless.It is the first time when Karachi police took solid measures against extortionists and issued photos of extortionists.Those whose pictures were released by police, included Ahmad Ali Magsi, Syed Kamran alias Kala, Malik Asif, Danish, Raju-ud-Din alias Bholu, Abdur Rehman alias Ashok, Farhan Qureshi, Muhammad Fakhar alias Pady, Shiraz alias Comrade and Sohail.
