Summary Ex-president SCBA Qazi Anwar said that judiciary can ban any contradictory law with constitution.

He was speaking a press conference here on Saturday at Press Club Peshawar. He was flanked by PTI leaders Mehr Taj Roghani, Saad Abdullah and Zafar Khattak.He said that the rule of corruption prevails everywhere due to which economy is suffering a lot and all profitable organizations are on the edge of destruction but political parties are only blaming each other.He said that president cannot take notice at any matter in a parliamentary system and it’s a duty of parliament. All the institutions are equal and constitution is supreme. Legislation is the prerogative of parliament, but judiciary can interpret these laws and can ban any contradictory law to the constitution.Qazi Anwar said that Shaukat Khanum was built for cancer where poor people are being treated freely and use of hospital’s money in politics is a baseless allegation on Imran Khan.He said that 75% patients are poor in the hospital and 25% are paying for the treatment and this amount is also utilised to meet the expenses of the hospital.He told that the biggest problem is the poverty of the country and some 50% are living below poverty line, primary duty of the government is to provide basic needs to the masses.
