President Asif Ali Zardari said that the PM was powerful and the Parliament sovereign; and all the matters would be resolved in the National Assembly and the Senate. Addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in the honour of TV channels, newspaper owners and editors, the President said that Parliamentary Committee on Balochistan would soon present its report in the Parliament for the implementation. The President said that the government has always consulted with the political parties and tried to resolve all the issues amicably. He said that he had pinned great expectations with Friends of Pakistan meeting and hoped that friends would fulfill their promises. Earlier, US ambassador in Pakistan Anne W Patterson and Chinese ambassador in Pakistan Luo Zhaohui called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidential House. The President said that Kerry-Lugar Bill would start the era of prosperity in the tribal areas. The President said that quarterly visits to China would enhance the strategic economic cooperation between the two countries. He said the visits were also aimed at learning from the Chinese development model that can be applied in Pakistan.
