Summary AJK PM Minister Ch Abdul Majeed said efforts are being made to turn AJK into a model state.
Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Sunday again made it clear that all–out efforts are being made to complete pending projects while government is taking steps to turn Azad Jammu and Kashmir into a model state.AJK PM expressed these views while talking to various delegations who called on him at the PM House in Muzaffarabad on Sunday.He told the delegation that next year university will be set up in Muzaffarabad, Shadra Neelum Valley and Palandiri while project of an international airport in Mirpur. A Medical College will also be set up in Rawalakot hence various development projects are lined up in AJK.He said that Muzaffarabad Expressway and highway from Athmaqam till Tawabat stretching 110 kilometers will be started under NHA.He told the delegation that government is taking practical measures to cope with unremitting power crises and AJK Government is focusing on it by starting hydel power projects besides concentrating on tourism in Neelum Valley.The AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed reiterated that there is enormous potential of investment in Azad Kashmir in different sectors.He said Government is providing incentives to the investors and paying attention on public private partnership.The Prime Minister said the government has ensured to provide conducive atmosphere and improved security situation in AJK in order to provide better facilities to the investors.AJK Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed said that present government is spending one third on the promotion of education section.He said that the government is taking steps to turn Azad Jammu and Kashmir into a model state.He said that government believes in policy of merit assuring the delegation that PPP local representatives must work together for making sure that PPP candidates win next year elections in Pakistan so that democracy can be flourished in this regard.
