Gilani orders to end sugar crisis in a week

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, taking notice of sugar crisis, ordered to settle down the situation in a week while the Federal Cabinet has established a committee under the supervision of Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen to resolve the sugar crisis as soon as possible. The session of the Federal Cabinet held under the chairmanship of PM Gilani in which sugar crisis and high prices were reviewed. To end the sugar crisis, a committee comprised of federal food, agriculture and production ministers and provincial food, agriculture and production ministers has been established under the supervision of Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen. The committee will submit its recommendations in ten days to end the sugar crisis and increase its production in future. According to sources, the PM has authorised the provinces to take action against hoarders.
