General Kayani visits Tarbela and Army Aviation Base

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Wednesday visited Tarbela Base and Army Aviation base; and met troops of Special Services Group. COAS was received by Major General Haroon Aslam, General Officer Commanding Special Services Group at Tarbela Base while COAS was received by Major General Tanveer Ullah Khan, General Officer Commanding Army Aviation at Army Aviation base. He lauded the role of Special Services Group and Army Aviation in operation Rah-e-Rast. General Kayani laid a wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada and pinned the gallantry awards on officers and men of Special Services Group and Army Aviation who displayed great acts of valour and courage during the operation.
