People can live without sugar: Kaira

Federal Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that sugar was not an important thing; people can live without eating it. He said that he did not want to reply Brigadier Imtiazs statements. He was addressing at a seminar organised by Parliamentary Party of PPP Punjab to celebrate one years achievements of President Asif Ali Zardari as Head of the State, in Lahore on Wednesday. He said that after the killing of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, there was a mourning situation in Pakistan and Asif Ali Zardari handled the PPP at the time. Kaira said that President Zardari was fighting the war of Pakistans survival. Kashmiri leadership has no objection on Gilgit Baltistan reforms, he added. There was no other option before the National Assembly instead of rental power projects to produce electricity, he revealed. Kaira said that Nawaz Sharif was a great leader and he honoured his opinion while the government was bound to repeal 59 2B. Idea of charter of democracy was actually given by Mohtarma Benazir while Nawaz Sharif only signed it, Kaira added. Sugar crisis was created by hoarders, he said.
