US working hard to establish bilateral relations with Pakistan: Lew

The United States Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Jack Lew has said that president Obama was putting personal efforts to fulfill Pakistans defence requirements. He admitted that the US had wasted a lot of time in establishing mutual relationship. In an exclusive interview with Dr Moeed Pirzada in Dunya News show Dunya Today, Jack Lew maintained that the United States was now working hard to establish bilateral relationship, however, the US congress was not rubber stamp and it take some time to get something approved. He stressed the need to expand the US embassy in Pakistan but expressed disappointment over reaction in Pakistani media on the issue. The US deputy secretary said that Pakistans importance to the US was evident from the fact that the US had increased its aid three times despite the recession. He told that the US President Barack Obama was trying himself to provide necessities to the Pakistan Army. The US Deputy Secretarys interview will be aired on Dunya News soon.
