British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari had assured to launch operation against Al-Qaeda and Taliban in Waziristan. He said that Al-Qaeda would not be allowed to build its station in any country. During a speech for defending British strategy and policy on Afghanistan in London, Gordon Brown said that Al-Qaeda had escaped from Afghanistan and moved to Pakistan, however, Pakistan Army was preparing to launch an operation against Al-Qaeda in Waziristan. He said that 212 British soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan so far; however, British armys presence in Afghanistan was justified as it could not leave Afghanistan for militants. He maintained that multinational forces should stay in Afghanistan for the time being.
