Army Chief visits Swat

The Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani (COAS) on Friday said that peace had been restored in Swat after knocking off the terrorists. He visited Barikot and Kalam where he was briefed about the return of displaced people. Kayani appreciated the efforts of security forces to bring peace in the valley and in assisting the return of displaced people. COAS visited the Rehabilitation Facility Sabaoon, which has been established in Barikot for psychological treatment of the children, who were forcibly taken away by the terrorists. Kayani also interacted with the notables of the area. Earlier, on arrival, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Masood Aslam, Corps Commander.
