Summary Chief justice says inquiry should be launched against FIA director Waqar Haider.
Hearing the contempt case against FIA director Waqar Haider, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said every individual should remember that no one is above law.During the proceeding, prosecutor general submitted evidences against Waqar Haider.After reviewing the evidences, chief justice remarked inquiry should be carried out against FIA director as he violated court orders.Chief Justice said he has set an example that inquiry will be launched on indiscriminatory basis against every offender no matter whose son or relative he is.FIA director’s counsel sought more time to defend his client on which the case was adjourned till July 30.
