Summary There will be no compromise on the prestige of the court, Chief Justice remarked.

A three member Supreme Court bench headed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed hearing of the Hajj corruption case on Wednesday.The Chief Justice directed that a notification about the suspension of Hussain Asghar should be issued till tomorrow otherwise the court will take action in this regard.The Chief Justice remarked that there will be no compromise on the prestige of the court.FIA’s legal director told court that disciplinary action will be taken against Hussain Asghar.In response, Chief Justice directed the authorities to ensure Hussain Asghar’s presence during next hearing, otherwise, his suspension orders should be issued.Hussain Asghar had performed his duty as investigating officer in the Hajj Corruption case and currently he is serving as Inspector General of Gilgit-Baltistan.The apex court has also summoned attorney general.
