Summary The Flood Control Room Friday put all departments on high alert.

According to the Met office, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sahiwal, DI Khan, Kohat and Bannu Division are likely to receive stormy rains tonight.It predicted the rain could continue till Saturday evening, which may cause flooding in Rawalpindi and other cities.Following the warning, the Flood Control Room has alerted Health Department, Rescuee 1122, Revenue Department, Flood Relief Camp and other concerned departments.Earlier in the day, the Met office forecast another spell of moderate to heavy rains in the upper parts of the country from Friday.Rains are expected in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Eastern parts of Sindh in next 24 hours.A monsoon low lies over central parts of India and its adjoining areas and extends up to mid-troposphere level. Under its influence monsoon currents are penetrating into north eastern parts of the country.Seasonal low lies over North West Balochistan with its trough extending southeast ward. Intermittent thundershower is expected at isolated of places Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur divisions on Thursday.
