Summary CJP has ordered the FC IG to recover the seven missing persons in Balochistan within 10 days.
The Supreme Court resumed hearing of the Balochistan law and order case at its Quetta Registry. During proceedings, Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry asked the FC IG about the accusations levelled against the FC regarding the abduction of people.The FC IG replied that he was cooperating with the government in the missing person cases and orders have been issued to all commandants to assure the families of those missing that all efforts were being made for their recovery.The Chief Justice told the FC IG to inform his commandants to present the missing persons otherwise the court would issue an order within five minutes.After hearing this, the IGFC left the courtroom and reappeared after awhile and informed the court that the country’s well being was in danger in Balochistan.The Chief Justice replied that commandants would be punished if the missing persons were not presented in ten days.
