Summary Writ petition has been filed in the SC challenging Maliks resignation from Senate Seat.
A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the resignation of the Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik from his Senate seat without getting permission of the SC.The petition was filed by, Mahmood Akhtar Naqvi, the petitioner submitted in his petition that the SC had already suspended Rehman Malik’s Senate membership in dual nationality case while the case was still pending in the SC and Rehman Malik had resigned from his Senate seat without seeking permission from the SC, which was against the Court orders and constitution.The petitioner pleaded the Court to issue directive in this regard.Meanwhile, one more petition has been filed in the SC against Rehman Malik for cheating the Court pertaining to dual nationality.The petitioner submitted in his petition that Rehman Malik cheated the Court by renouncing his British nationality.The petitioner said that Rehman Malik lied before the Court proving that he did not respect the Higher Judiciary and the Court must issue directive to book Malik in fraud case.
