Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Umar Ata Bandial heard a petition filed against death of at least 100 patients by the reaction of spurious medicines at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).The court questioned to additional advocate Punjab that what steps had been taken by the government so far.The additional advocate informed the court that judicial commission had not submitted its report and strict action would be taken in the light of the commission’s report.Federal government had sough time to submit its reply.The court accepted the request and adjourned the case till September 25. Earlier, the CJ had remarked that only case of negligence against the accused was not enough.
