A nine-judge bench, headed by Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, resumed the hearing into controversy after the Memo Commission held that Pakistan’s former ambassador to US Husain Haqqani was the architect of the memo sent to former US military chief Admiral Mike Mullen seeking US help to avert a possible overthrow of the government by the military.The court gave Asma Jehangir‚ the counsel of Husain Haqqani three days time to submit an application as per the rules for exemption of his clients appearance before the bench.The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of Memo case for an indefinite period.
