Summary At least eight people were killed in different firing incidents in Karachi on Saturday.

A deputy director of the Intelligence Bureau was shot dead by unknown assailants in Liaquatabad area of Karachi on Saturday night.According to details, unidentified assailants fired on the officer, fatally wounding him. Identified as Qamar Raza, the officer was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed hospital in critical condition.A woman was killed in firing on Rashid Minhas Road while some identified people opened fire on an auto parts shop and injured four people of the same family. The injured were being shifted to hospital when three of them succumbed to injuries on the way.According to police, the deceased and injured people belonged to a banned religious outfit.In another incident, an unidentified man was shot dead by unknown people in Korangi area of Karachi while a man namely Ali Madad was gunned down by unknown people in near Kamran Chorangi in Gulistan-e-Johar. The victim belonged to interior Sindh.Moreover, some unknown motorcyclists gunned down a van driver Muslim Khan who was also a worker of a political party while two people were injured in Steel Town.
