LHC issues notice to Musharraf, Rehman in Benazirs murder case

The Lahore High Court has issued notices to eleven persons including Pervez Musharraf, Rehman Malik, Babar Awan and Pervaiz Elahi for registration of FIR of Benazir Bhuttos murder case, and appealed to shift the investigation of the case from FIA to Punjab police. The hearing of the case would be started from September 7. In his petition, advocate Chaudary Aslam has claimed that Benazirs killing was a part of an international conspiracy hatched against her. He has named former President Pervez Musharraf, DG Intelligence Bureau Ejaz Shah, ex-CM Punjab Chaudhary Pervez Elahi, former Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz, Home Secretary Kamal Shah, present Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Federal Minister Babar Awan, DCO Rawalpindi, DIG Saud Aziz, SPO Rawal Town Shehzad Qaiser and SP Farooq Yaseen in the petition for hatching the conspiracy to assassinate Benazir Bhutto.
