An anti-terrorism court on Monday sentenced two policemen to death along with 10 years jail term and one lac rupees fine to each of them who were accused of sexual assault and killing a three year old girl. When the special court judge Syed Muhammad Alam Rizvi read out the decision, the parents and family members of the child started crying in the court room. Both the accused Noor Muhammad and Bashir Ahmad said that they were not guilty of the crime; they would appeal to the Supreme Court. Talking to media, the parents of the child said they were satisfied with the decision and justice has been provided to them. Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Sharmeela Farooqi was also present in the court. Two years old Sana of Korangi was missing two months ago while she was playing outside her house. Police launched a raid in the neighbourhood and arrested two former officials of traffic police. After interrogating the suspects, dead body of the child was recovered from a manhole. According to doctors, the child was raped and murdered afterwards.
