Former army chief General (R) Mirza Aslam Baig has claimed on Sunday that Benazir Bhuttos murder was a result of her refusal to abide by the deal made with former president Pervez Musharraf and the United States, adding that she was killed by the same people who had assassinated General Zia-ul-Haq. Talking in Dunya News Show Najam Sethi Special the Retired General demanded that Pervez Musharraf should be trialed. He revealed that elements from both in and outside the country were involved in the Bahawalpur incident. The Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI) was formed in 1988 whereas the money was given to the politicians in 1990, Baig added.
