International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Commander in Afghanistan General John Allen who arrived in Islamabad on Sunday evening has held a meeting with Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani in Rawalpindi.They discussed issues of reopening of NATO supplies and border situation.Allen is likely to hold talks with other senior Pakistani officials.Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton Sunday contacted Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf over the telephone and congratulated him on becoming Pakistan’s prime minister.Clinton told the prime minister that she hoped Pak-US relations would improve further during his tenure.The US Secretary of State added that Pakistan and US were allies in the war against terror. Prime Minister Ashraf informed Hilary Clinton that Pakistan was adamant on rooting out terrorism.Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also thanked Hilary Clinton on congratulating him on becoming the prime minister.
