Law and order is a provincial matter: PM Ashraf

Talking to a group of senior journalists in Lahore on Saturday‚ Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said Pakistan Peoples Party is committed to avoid politics of confrontation.He said the party is only focusing on resolving national issues and problems through mutual consultation.While taking about the severe energy shortfall and loadshedding, Ashraf said, “The electricity crisis is the first priority.”The Prime Minister hoped the Opposition will respond positively to his offer about consultation over the appointment of Chief Election Commissioner.He said an inter-provincial meeting will soon be convened to discuss necessary preventive measures in view of the upcoming monsoon rains andthe provincial authorities have been directed to take all possible steps on war-footings to face any eventuality.
