A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard a court contempt case against PM’s advisor on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik.The court questioned Malik on forming a new joint investigating team of Pakistan Steel Mills corruption cases while the apex court had ordered to probe into the scandal.Rehman Malik informed the court that team was dissolved on court’s commands adding that Justice Javed Iqbal had exempted him from attending the hearing.Chief Justice said that no such order was mentioned in the case file.The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered Rehman Malik to submit his written reply on changing the investigation team of Steel Mills corruption case.Talking to the media outside the Supreme Court, Rehman Malik said that PML-N was trying to remove the government by filing petitions in the courts.He said that written guarantee had been asked from the Afghan government that Dir like incidents would not occur in future.
