The rulers who raise slogans of providing food, clothing and shelter have literally smashed the poor in this age of inflation. Even essential food items are also not in the reach of the poor. During one year the food items prices went up by 20 to 80 percent that played havoc with the budget of a common man. Long queues for ata and other items were seen in NWFP. In Karachi people suffered at the hands on inflation. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif yesterday announced to end the queues for sasta ata within 24 to 48 hours but these queues are still intact in many cities of the Punjab after 24hours of the CMs announcement. People are facing problems in getting essential food items including sasta ata. Economically-hit segment of society stand in queues for hours for getting essential food items in heat and Ramadan. T
