Peshawar: Three killed, 17 injured in a suicide attack

Two women and a child killed while 17 others injured as a suicide bomber blew himself up in Momin Town Peshawar, Dunya News reported Sunday. According to the eye witnesses, the suicide bomber first opened fire and then blew himself up. Police officials said, Fateha Khawani was in progress at Haji Mubeens place, who was murdered yesterday in a suicide attack, when a suicide attacker arrived. The attacker opened fire at guards who tried to stop him and then blew himself up in the street upon failing to enter the house. Four houses were completely destroyed while 8 others were partially damaged due to the blast. CCPO Peshawar Sifwat Ghayoor, while talking to media, termed the incident as a sequel of last nights suicide attack and a consequence of personal rivalry. Last night, Haji Mubeen Afridi, spokesman for a tribal group Ansar-ul-Islam which operates in Khyber tribal district near the Afghan border, and his driver Haji Khan Afridi, was on his way home when a bomb planted in his car detonated by a remote control near Hayatabad Medical Complex.
