Moon not sighted; 1st Ramzan on Sunday

The first day of the holy month of Ramzan will fall on Sunday, as the moon of new month was not sighted on Friday. The central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held a meeting with Chairman Mufti Nunib-ur-Rehman in chair to sight the moon of Ramzan of 1430 of Hijri calendar. Zonal/District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees meetings held at their respective places at the same time. The weather remained cloudy in the federal capital today. Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman announced that no witness came forward with the evidence of sighting moon. The afghan refugees in NWFP and Balochistan have announced to have fast tomorrow along with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States.
