Summary Crisis of water has intensified in the country due to lack of water in rivers.
The Mangla Dam is feared not to be filled by water this year.According to irrigation department, only 1097 feet water could be accumulated in the Mangla Dam. Last year, the quantity of water was about 1164 feet.Experts are of the view that the level of water is likely not to go beyond 1185 feet.On the other hand, quantity of water in Tarbela Dam is also less as compared to last year.This year, Punjab is facing shortage of water by 40%.
