Most parts of the country remained under the grip of scorching heat during last 24 hours.
The roads and markets were presenting a desert look due to scorching heat in south and plane areas of the country during last 24 hours while temperature crossed 48C in Dadu.Temperature recorded in different cities of the country was: Lahore and Faisalabad 45C, Multan 46C, Islamabad 41C, Murree 27C, Peshawar 42C, Karachi and Quetta 35C and Muzaffarabad 42C.According to Met Office, heat wave will continue in central and south parts of the country during next two days while rain with thunderstorm is expected in some areas of Malakand, Hazara, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
