Summary At least ten people were killed in US drone strike on Sunday in Tehsil Barmal of South Waziristan.
According to the official sources, two US drones fired four missiles at a house belonging to a militant commander Malang of Maulvi Nazir group in Wacha Dana town, 9 kilometres (six miles) west of Wana, the main town in the South Waziristan killing at least eight people and injuring others.The missile was fired on a mourning gathering for commander Malang’s cousin Rehman Ali, who was killed in Saturedays US drone strike in South Waziristan.Meanwhile, another missile targeted a vehicle also in this area killing at least two alleged militants.The people killed in the US drone attack on vehicle were reportedly foreigners.There have been a series of US drone strikes in Pakistan since a NATO conference on Afghanistan in Chicago last month. The Sunday’s drone attack was seventh in last eleven days.On May 23, the US drone target headquarter of North Waziristan killing at least four people while on May 24 a mosque was targeted in which 10 people were martyred who were busy in worshipping.On May 25, three people were killed in drone attack on a house in Miranshah and on May 28 the US drone targeted a vehicle and killed 4 people.On June 2, the US drone strike killed two alleged militants in Khawashi Khe area of South Waziristan.
