Summary Justice Umar Ata Bandial took oath as new chief justice of the Lahore High Court.

The Punjab governor administered oath to Justice Umar Ata Bandial at a ceremony at Governor’s House Lahore.Justice Bandail will be the 41th CJ of the LHC. He was elevated to the Bench on December 1, 2004 and will retire on September 16, 2016 as LHC judge.A police squad presented guard of honour to Justice Bandial when he arrived at Lahore High Court after taking oath while the fellow judges congratulated him.Talking to Dunya News, Justice Umar Ata Bandial said that provision of early and urgent justice to the masses was his top priority.Justice Bandial vowed to eradicate corruption from the courts and deal all the cases under proceeding on urgent basis.
