Summary Government seeks to utilise solar power to cope with prevailing energy crisis.
Solar energy is getting popular across the world and it is also the best viable solution to energy shortages, thus, the government has decided to focus on promoting solar energy system to deal with the prevailing crisis.Talking to media outside parliament house, federal minister Khurshid Shah said – in the first phase - farmers will be provided solar technology for the irrigation system and this project will cost Rs 125 billion.He said the project will help to save 2000 megawatt of electricity.
