US special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrooke held a meeting with Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad in Karachi, Dunya News reported Wednesday. Holbrooke said power crisis is Pakistans major issue, adding that Pakistan should identify the sectors in which it needs support. He also visited a school. Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting held at Governor House Karachi. City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Khoro, Deputy Speaker Dr. Shehla Raza, Parliamentary leader of Peoples Party, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq and other leaders were present on the occasion. Talking to media after the meeting, Richard Holbrooke maintained that US wanted to help Pakistan prosper. However, according to a survey poll, people in Pakistan are against the US and US has apprehensions on this. Governor Sindh, on the occasion, urged US to present its case before the Muslim world in right manner. Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad said only people with feudal mindset are opposing the local bodies system. The US envoy also visited a government school in NTR colony.
