LHC CJ takes suo moto notice of sugar crisis

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif has taken a suo moto notice of sugar crisis in Punjab and sought a reply from the Federal and Provincial Government on August 19. In a notice issued by the court the reasons for the sugar price-hike have been asked. The case will be heard by a two-member bench headed by the CJ. The other member of the bench is Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhary.
