The Supreme court will start hearing today on the FIR filed against Rehman Malik, Babar Awan and Pervez Ilahi in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.The defendants will submit their replies in the apex court today. Rehman Malik has submitted his reply through his counsel Anwar Mansoor which will be read in the court today.According to the documents acquired by Dunya News, Rehman Malik in his reply said that he will resign from ministry if any proof of his involvement is found in Benazir Bhutto murder plot.Rehman Malik in his reply also said that he was in contact with on duty generals during Gen Pervez Musharraf tenure through and the deal between Musharraf and Benazir Bhutto was made possible through their help.Rehman Malik also said that he was also presented during Prevez Musharraf and Benazir meeting in Dubai.Rehman Malik said that he was responsible for negotiations on NRO and he held talks with Gen Musharraf on the instruction of Benazir Bhutto.Reman Malik has expressed the doubt that Benazir’s former protocol officer Aslam Chaudhry, who has filed a case for registration of an FIR against him, has either killed Benazir himself or he knows about the killers.Interior Minister Rehman Malik also rejected Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary proposal in which he asked him to step down from public office so that an independent investigation can take place.
