Summary The Supreme Court has expressed dissatisfaction on police report regarding Sonia Naz rape case.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that as why the police don’t have trust in rule of law.A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of the case.The Chief Justice consulted the then IG Major Zia as why investigation was stopped.Additional Advocate General Rana Jawad told that court that SHO Jamshed Chishti has been removed from his office.While passing his remarks, Chief Justice said that police don’t have trust in the rule of law.Sonia Naz’s father-in-law was killed in 2007 why the FIR has been registered after five years.The court put off the hearing till May 10, with the order that investigation should be made in accordance with then DIG Zafer Qureshi’s investigation report.
