Summary President Zardari has decided to contact influential families of Punjab ahead of general elections.
According to the details, President has constituted three-member committee to contact influential families with political backgrounds in Punjab. The committee comprises Raja Riaz, Makhdoom Shahabuddin and Imtiaz Safdar Warraich.Sources say the committee has contacted Nawahi of Bhakkar, Rana of Arifwala and Dareshak family of Dera Ghazi Khan.President has asked the committee to assure the families that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) ticket will be issued to the independent candidates who win in the elections.
