Summary Supreme Court has reserved verdict of contempt case against Babar Awan till next Tuesday.
Two-member bench of the SC conducted hearing of the said case and put off the hearing for some days.While passing his remarks, Justice Ather Saeed said that the accused Baber Awan had waited for indictment rather than seeking apology for the court.Justice Afzal Ijaz said that such citations are available which prove that the accused was put on trial despite his or her apology.Babar Awan’s counsel Ali Zafer said that if court frames charges against his client despite seeking apology, it would have to justify the reason in this regard.The court has reserved the verdict which would be announced on next Tuesday.
