Summary Pakistani ambassador to US Sherry Rehman said relations with US affected after attack on check post.
She expressed her views while addressing a ceremony in Washington.Sherry rehman said that steps should be taken build confidence in relations between the two countries.Addressing the ceremony, she reiterated that Salala attack created differences between Pakistan and United States, adding that such attacks are a violation of Pakistani territory.Calling the current time crucial, she said Parliament is redrawing lines of engagement with the US and has also set a new date for last round of discussions over the foreign policy.She said both countries should work as partners in order to normalize the relations.Sherry lamented that terrorists have targeted everyone including top officials and other security personnel in Pakistan. She said Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the war on terror and bear a loss of $78 billion so far.24 soldiers were killed as U.S.-led NATO forces opened fire on Salala check post in November last year.
